Actually sort of brings back memories... Lordy, it's been over 40 years since I played drums.

Yep, a 10 year old boy named Aaron. Well 12-13 years old now.

Heh, if I only had a nickel for every time I have been mistaken for a girl. And I've been mistaken for four rock n'roll stars. (If only I had 1/2 their talent and 1/10th their money).

I think this thread is starting to scare me...

Ya, I've also been mistaken for a girl at times. Of course I'm sure that had nothing to do with my hair being down to the small of my back at one time... ;) Hmmm, I cut my hair and stopped playing drums around the same time. I wonder if there is a relationship... ;) Actually there was a relationship. The long hair was a total pain but went well as to stage presence. When I quit playing drums the hair became more of a pain than an asset. The longest my hair gets anymore is a bit past my shoulders. Right now it is a bit past collar length.

Acadia let me guess... One of the mistaken identities has to be Roger Daltrey. :) Just thinking the hair...

No, never Roger. One story. Many years ago GG and I were touring Luray Caverns in Virginia. When our group got to the Great Stalacpipe Organ which is made of stalactites, there was a fellow there demonstrating and playing the organ. As our group as leaving he signaled me to stop. He came over to me clutching his hand to his chest as if he were going to have a heart attack. He said to me, "Would you happen to be Steve Howe of Yes?"

But my favorite story. About 25-30 years ago GG and I were hiking the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah National Park. As we were hiking along a pair of hikers were coming toward us. One of them starts staring at me and slowing down. As we got almost beside each other he shouted, "You're him!" I replied, "I'm who?" He again shouts, "You're Peter Frampton!"

You can understand the mistake it's a very good likeness. My hubby is more Father Christmas with his white long hair and beard, he's just come out of hospital after having to have an emergency pacemaker fitted.

When i started to read your post Joan i wasn't expecting to read the ending... hope your hubby is making a good and full recovery, happy hols to you both :D :santa:

Kids everywhere will also be happy to know that Santa is ok, btw tell Rudolph Santa isn't feeling too well this year and to fly a wee bit slower ;) :moose1:
(p.s. Someone tell Acadia to paint his nose red at this time of year... oh, and don't tell him he's a reindeer in December, reading his posts above he appears to have quite enough of an identity crisis to deal with without this as well :rofl2: )

Thanks Doddie, he's getting better each day, in pain and a tightening at the wound site but they told him that was to be expected.
He goes back in 6 weeks for his first check up.

His face is a bit smashed up as he'd had another fall and stopped breathing after the ambulance got him to the first hospital before transferring him to the heart hospital. He looks as if he's done a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson.

I'd laugh with you but I'm sure you got a hell of a fright as well.

For all its faults our NHS staff are awesome... oh heck, i can't resist, I'm sure you wouldn't swap him simply for looking like he's just gone 3 rounds with your rolling pin, no matter what the neighbours might say! LOL :flower6:

 Of course it does, he'll be 69 on the 25th January and I'll be 75 1st August. I'm looking forward to getting my free TV licence. :rofl2: It means I've got to outlive him or he'll have to start paying for it again. :rofl2:
