My computer with Win7 does not have bluetooth.
My Galaxy s7 smart phone does have bluetooth.
Would installing a bluetooth adapter on the computer allow the two to be paired?
Right now the only way I can transfer photos from the computer to the phone is
to remove the SD Micro card to a card reader and then USB connect it to the computer.
Using the USB cord from the phone to the computer only allows only a one way transfer from the
phone to computer.
If a bluetooth adapter is the answer, any brand suggestions?
Staples has a price range from as low as $14 to over 100 dollars!

I don't have a specific answer for you but I'm surprised that your USB connection is only one way.

Yes, a Bluetooth adapter will allow you to pair your phone with your PC. I don't have any brand recommendations. I'd either go cheap and hope for the best or go for a name such as Logitech.
The USB transfer sounds like a phone issue and not a USB or PC issue. I presume you are using Windows Explorer and when the phone is connected Windows sees it as removable storage or a device -- perhaps even as the phone, showing the model. When you initially connected, did Windows load a driver?

Probably a PC issue?
After reading your reply I tried it again.
This time I got a little message that Windows had successfully installed a driver. I don't
remember seeing that notice before. Now I can copy photos both ways, either from a the card icon
or a the camera icon by drag and drop.
(The players are a Velocity Micro and a Samsung Galaxy s7)
Thanks guys.

Another way to transfer files is to use a service like Dropbox on both machines. Photos from the phone can automatically go to the cloud and then automatically sync with your computer. It's pretty easy and works well. A photo can be in both or multiple places in a few minutes. Works well, I use it and honestly, easier than bluetooth transfer since once setup you don't have to do much all.

Or OneDrive, if you have a Microsoft account. (Who doesn't? LOL) Dropbox has had too many security issues for me.

Ah, the mysteries of computers and devices. :-P

Glad to read that it is now working as it should with no additional expenditures. I can't say why it didn't initially decide that a driver was needed in order for the device to be fully recognized, but what you experienced with the dialog about a driver is what I expected should happen.
