My thoughts, prayers and good wishes are with the people of Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas over these next few days, as Irma comes knocking on their door. I survived a hurricane off the Galveston coast in 1983, and it was terrifying. Back in those days we didn't have the warning systems we have today.....just battery-operated weather radios and flying flags.
My thoughts, prayers and good wishes also remain for the survivors of Hurricane Harvey as they are still attempting to recover from that devastating hurricane. That storm had particular concern for me because I had two sons, a nephew and a cousin who lived in the affected areas. Luckily they all escape with no injuries nor significant damage, but I sure had a couple of sleepless nights worrying about all of them.

Sending my best wishes as well from this side of the pond for people in the affected areas to keep safe.
