Since I retired half the time I don't know what day it is. Mentioned this on the aquatics forum I frequent and one of the mods suggested the following. It is actually a real thing you can get through Amazon. Not going to get one but I love it. Just not going to spend $50.00 USD for a novelty. Attachment:

That's funny! I'm okay with days of the week so far and I've been retired 5 years now.

That's actually pretty cool and i could have benefited massively from it a couple of years ago when i not only didn't know what day it was, i couldn't even tell if it was AM or PM.
It also has that ships telegraph look about it which i love, presumably the arrows on the days define AM or PM?
$50 USD does seem a bit steep though but i'd have bought it anyway if i knew it existed... believe me when i say when you sleep circa 18 hours a day every day for months on end when you wake up at 6am only to find out it's actually 6pm, when you get out of bed and have to ask your wife what time of day it is and whether it's night or day and is that Monday or Tuesday etc?, it is soul crushing to find out another day has been lost.
Waking up and knowing which day it was and whether it was night or day would have prevented many false dawns for me.

LOL! I keep going back and looking at that day clock which means that, even though I'm fighting it, I'll probably get one. The mod on my aquatics forums that sent me the link owns a business and gives one to anyone that retires. Oh, shoot. We all know I'm going to get one but I'm not going to pay $50.00. This one is $32.95 and looks nice. One issue is that there is no size listed so I have no way to know if it will fit where it would go. Attachment:

This one seems like me and is only $24.90. This is most likely. It will also fit well replacing my kitchen clock that hasn't worked in ages. Attachment:

Jay, the clock for $32.95 says it is an 8" clock, so I assume that is the diameter.

One would think that would be included in the actual description. Even though the clock would fit the space fine I still think I like the other as it is about as goofy as I. I may be 68 but part of me is still 12.

I went ahead and ordered the day clock Friday evening from an Etsy seller 'SolPixieDust' who has an almost total 5 star seller rating and can see why. I ordered Friday evening and and got an email saying it had been shipped Saturday morning. This is the one I chose: Attachment:

Ya, I like it. Just seems to be me. Do I actuality need it? No but I like it and am willing to pay $25.00USD just due to liking.

When started looking I found a LOT of retirement type clocks. This type was a close second. Attachment:
