Post subject: | An occasional problem |
Sometimes, when I go to "wake up" my computer after it's been sitting for a while, the screen has these black sections and as I move the cursor around, gradually they go away and I can see the whole screen. The computer is old - its running Windows 7 but as I use the ipad and iphone for a lot of things, I don't really want to spend money on a new one. I mostly use it for documents etc. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and if there is a cheap solution? Thanks. I tried to post a photo from Photobucket. It said to disable ad blocker, which I did, but I still can't save the image. |

As far as posting the image use the full post editor here and attach the image as an attachment. |

Curious what you mean "wake up" I never let my puters go to sleep, I just let a screen saver run for 15 minutes. On the machine with the 19 inch monitors I let then turn off. On the machine which has the big monitors I just let the screen savers work. They generate more heat, and I don't like to have them switch off and get into the heat cycling. |
