Outlook 2010/Win7

I have one RSS feed into Outlook, the program, and would like to set it to sync less frequently than it does.
How often does it sync - at the same rate as mail (5 minutes)?
Daily is too much, so if I can set it weekly or monthly, it would be fine.

I found instructions to change the settings, but I got stuck after "Include RSS Feeds in this Send/Receive group" and click okay. "Click new group" is the next step - I stopped before that.
Starting from scratch is fine.

Thank you.

There are generally default checks set by the publisher of the feed. Those would not likely be more than once a day. How often are you seeing it? Outlook option to use the Publisher default on how often it checks specifically states that the frequency of mail checks will not cause the RSS feed to be checked more frequently than what the publisher recommends.

The publisher limit will be once per day for feeds that are infrequently updated. For very active blogs, that check may be limited to a much shorter interval.
The default check by Outlook is not something I've been able to confirm, but this article is interesting in how to change the schedule for a specific feed.

Hello MacDuffie and Stephen,

I see it often, but it's an (wait for it) unusual circumstance.
Every time I click Send/Receive, the feed shows up in the expanded Details with a green check mark. I am in year three OR four OR two of daily S/R errors that last for several months and eventually go away. This is the month I finally boot AT&T, or get a drastic reduction in cost, as I now pay 46% more this year for worse/lousy service.

The updates are between three and six a year.

I switched search engines to the more private, non-tracking kind, so I am not surprised that I completely missed these instructions, which were probably easily found on Bing.
These look complete.
Thank you!

Hope all is well.

I have had, on occasion, to delete an RSS feed and resubscribe, to get a feed downloading properly.
