I am trying to access Hosts file to add a website to block.
(Open as notepad, insert one line, Save.)

The Run function doesn't have Open as Admin, so I rt clicked Properties.
I tried to unlock Special Permissions.
I tried adding "special permissions" as an object - but the simple thing (my logic) isn't working.
Is this akin to a Take Ownership exercise that I did years ago - and don't remember?

This isn't a rush. I can't connect to outlook.com, so I cannot send or receive personal emails, anyway.

Thank you.

Don't use the Run command, go to the shortcut for Notepad or type Notepad in the Search box and right click on the Notepad.exe shortcut, selecting Run as Administrator.

That's right. Open Notepad then File > Open and in the file name paste this: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and press the Open button.

Now, what does Outlook.com have to do with this?

Thank you both.

(I get response notifications in outlook.com and I might not get around to seeing this for a while. Otherwise, nothing, Manny.)
