JAY,
Ridiculous, but true. Did a factory reset. In order to program wifi, I have to enter my password, of course.
My password has a < (less than) symbol, which is not present on keyboard. Changing password involves calling ATT and I don't have time. In addition, how silly is it that I can't see the symbol? Please tell me how to access it. There must be another level, but it's a mystery to me.
Thank you.

I have no idea but would guess that there is a 'function key' to bring up the symbols.

You have this model, don't you?
Being in setup mode, I couldn't begin to fathom a guess where to look. There are symbols, just not > & <. Can't find it online - which is not a surprise; that's why I asked you.
Thank you.
Never mind, found it.

Glad that you found it. Nope, my 10 inch tablet is a Double Power (DoPo). I have a case with a Blu-tooth keyboard so very seldom use the keyboard on the screen. Since mine is also Android I'm sure that I could have found it if I had had the time but was heading out the door to work.

Jay,
After factory reset, I deleted or disabled a ton of bloatware and my tablet sped up considerably (amazing, actually). I then overdid it and had to start from scratch (not reset, quite). I have a handle on Google crap, but are you able to put together a list of Android stuff that I can disable/delete? For instance, I have geolocation off and use Orbot, so I sometimes have problems with being routed to Google UK - or German websites - but I discovered that Android has a location script/code/software of some sort that may counter all of the things that I do to maintain as much privacy as possible. I am happy to tell you how I use tablet or how I don't use it, as I'm sure it will help. I will also take no for an answer. Thank you.
Thank you.

Do you remember what you removed before things went south? If so repeat and stop before that point. Sorry but that is really the best that I can offer. My tablet sits on my night stand in my bedroom and is used almost exclusively for reading eBooks and/or buying the same. Since it works better than needed for reading I have not delved in to other aspects. Sorry that I can't be of any real help.

Jay, Sorry - I wasn't clear on my goal. I put it back together well - problem solved Thursday. Because it worked so well after cleaning out unneeded programs, that's what I want to do now. I also use it as a reader 96% of the time - and a small part of the decision was made for me because it functions so poorly as a computer substitute. Thank you.
