I get e-Fliers from Newegg a couple times a week. I just received this one with new hard drives. Check out the last two. They are 8TB and 10TB capacity. Ironwolf HDD at Newegg

"Optimized for NAS enclosures." The only reason I mention that is the RPMs of these drives. They all seem to be 5900 instead of 7200.
3 TB seems to be the sweet spot, price-wise. You know, I'm still doing just fine with 1 TB drives - 2 in a mirror, and 1 as an external backup drive. Haven't found any need to go larger. I don't save movies on my hard drive. I either get the BluRay/DVD or I buy from Amazon and stream it when I want to.
Not to take away from your post, Terry. I'm astounded to see hard drives of those sizes!

Hi Patty! You're up early this morning. This is the Title for the 10TB drive > Seagate IronWolf ST10000VN0004 10TB 7200 RPM. 6TB-10TB are all 7200 RPM.
I buy Blu-ray movies too but I buy the hard disc and store them on my 3TB HDDs. Some of the movies come with a "Digital Copy" that I can add to my Vudu or CinemaNow accounts to use for portable streaming. It's just me but I like having the hard disc in a case for my in home collection.

Yes, you're right. I must have looked at the lower capacity drives.
Yup, awake at 4 this morning. Not too bad, it was 3 yesterday. LOL

It must be a west coast thing. I have a friend in Belmont, CA. and she's up between 4am - 5am PCT every day. I'm up by 7am daily.
Explain to me what a NAS set up is please. I have purchased some Seagate 3TB NAS HDDs a year or so back and just use them as regular drives.
I did a search on NAS (Network Attached Storage) enclosures. I understand now.
