But sometimes I get the message that my computer may restart several times during an update or upgrade.
I wish I had known earlier about your success with a shut down vs restart, because restarting always crashed my troublesome system. Like when the electric company repair men cut my electricity for 30 minutes....I could/should have run in and shut my computer down before they pulled the plug.
