I've had this problem in Windows 10 all during the preview builds and I sent feedback to Microsoft each time it happened. I was hoping this RTM version would correct the problem, but it hasn't. Some videos imbedded in Website stories (like in newspaper articles) play just fine, but on all YouTube videos that I've tried so far, I get only the sound over a black or blue screen. Where do I begin to look for a fix? Gerry

Have you installed the latest Flash Player? Youtube relies on it.

Also did you notice if you got an update for your video driver. I had my audio hosed by an update to my audio driver.

I've been continuing my attempt to get video in either Internet Explorer 11 or Edge in Windows 10. Most videos give me only the audio with a black, gray or blue screen. No YouTube video that I've tried has played, but some imbedded videos in news stories do play. All videos play with picture using the Chrome browser, so that shows that my video driver (NVIDIA) is working -- I assume. I upgraded my wife's computer to 10 yesterday and all videos play as they should in IE and Edge on her computer, and they work on my daughter's computer also. I'm stumped. Gerry

Gerry, go back to simple troubleshooting. Do a clean boot, or shutdown startup items - can't use msconfig to keep them from loading, but you can use Task Manager. Go to the startup tab of it, you can right-click and disable startup items, then reboot. See if there is any change.
