Using Live Mail 2012.
I just noticed then even though I have my Hotmail account set as default it seems to not actually be the default. I look in settings and it shows as default yet, if I just click to compose an email, it will automatically send through my Gmail account, not the default Hotmail account.
Am I missing something here? I mean the Hotmail account does show as being the default yet seems to not be so...

Sounds mysterious to me, Jay. If you compose a message while in the Gmail inbox, it will be sent via Gmail. What folder is active when you compose a new message?

My default email folder is, what is automatically selected when I launch Live Mail, Unread Email under Quick Views. That is where I live in Live Mail unless I am cleaning out junk.

Well dang! I just tried again making sure that I was in the 'Unread Email folder' under 'Quick Views' and it was going to send to the Hotmail account... Mayhaps I messed up and was actually in the Gmail folder when I sent before. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on this and make sure of where I am in my folders. Sigh, five email accounts can be a pain but is one suffered when you have your own sites and want accounts set for such things as admin, support and info. Of course those three accounts have nothing to do with the Gmail/Hotmail issue but still add to the confusion.

Glad you sorted it out Jay, I don't use Quick View with my WLM. I have 6 accounts plus email that shows under the Storage Folder tab because that's where rules send mail to their own folders, there is quite a list there.
