My bro has Outlook 2003 on his Win 7 laptop He want some of the emails to move to his Win 10 laptop also with Outlook 2003.He wants to make
the Win 7 laptop for storage and backups. It's really about saving and moving the inbox on the Win 7. Any advice??

Location: The state of confusion; I just use Wyoming for mail.
You could just copy over the Outlook PST file and have everything. I'm heading out to work so don't have time to give explicit instructions at the moment...

Or you could just export the inbox as its own .pst file. Probably not a big deal, since for most people it is the email that makes up most of the .pst file anyway.

Tested this on my same setup.
Started here
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/287070
Made a Backup file of my Personal Folders. Copied to
a thumb drive. Put the thumb drive into my Win10 lappy
Opened Outlook 2003. Used Import/Export.Navigated to
thumb drive and imported the file. Worked like a charm.
Only PITA was removing all the extras on 10. No big deal
