Not really an issue that I'm overly concerned with but am curious if it is just me or a known issue. Doing a Bing search of "Email folders disappear in Outlook 365" returns many results but all I see are cases where the folders are actually gone which is not my case.

Not always, but often enough to make me wonder, my left hand pane that holds my email account list and folders goes blank. This never happens when I launch; only when I minimize then expand Outlook. The folders are actually still there just invisible. If I run my mouse up and down in the pane the folders are again visible.

Not a big deal but am curious if anyone else has seen this. If I'm not describing well enough I'll do some screen shots the next time it happens.

LOL! This could actually be a good minor security layer if one could define multiple keys to be pressed at the same time while running the mouse over the pane. This would make the folder/account pane invisible to any that did not know the key combination. :mrgreen:

<edit>

Here is a screen shot to show the pane in question.

It just started happening to me this past week on my Surface Pro 4 when docked and using an external HDMI monitor as the primary monitor. It doesn't happen when it is using the Surface screen alone.
I normally don't use an external screen, but my desktop PC had an issue a few days ago, so I switched to the Surface until I had a chance to poke at the desktop issue.

Well at least I know it isn't just me. :) I've been seeing this for 3-4 weeks. Since I am also connected to HDTV's via HDMI I wonder if this could be considered a common factor...

I'm thinking that the external monitor via HDMI is likely a common factor. I'll keep my eyes open for any official reports acknowledging the problem.

Never seen it happen on this Notebook Jay and I don't use my Outlook mail program that often on my desktop, the monitor on that is connected via HDMI, it was OK a few minutes ago when I used it though on there.

I MAY be exaggerating as to how long this has been going on as I really don't know. It is possible that it was after a recent Office 365 update.

I DO find it a bit strange that it is intermittent. Although it sometimes seems to happens after I play a game which would change the screen resolution. The change of resolution could be a factor as Outlook is usually open when I play.

Yep -- same thing. And *only* when the Surface Pro 4 is using the external monitor (via mini Display Port out to HDMI in) as the primary display. I had the Surface with me at the office today with Outlook open all day and the problem did not occur. It was a frequent occurrence for the few days that i had it hooked up to the monitor and my keyboard and mouse before I recovered the desktop machine.
