I'm using Office 2016 Professional Trial in Windows 10 and 8.1. Every time I open one of the apps, the Microsoft Office Activation Wizard Attachment:

pops up. I've gone through the activation process several times, but it still pops up each and every time. Any ideas how to get rid of this annoyance? Gerry

Steve, I explored the information at that link and ran all the remedies. The first did not resolve the problem, so I ran the second, also without results. The third required an online procedure and half way through it, I got an error dialog that said the program needed to be closed. I clicked on that, it went away and then I started all over again by going to Programs and Features, only to find that Office 2016 was no longer listed. Clicking on "Change/Repair" in the previous procedure actually uninstalled the whole thing. OK, no problem because I still have Office 2010 installed, but when I went to Outlook 2010, it would not send or receive. I went back to Programs and Features, clicked on Office 2010, then Change/Repair. After about ten minutes, the routine finished and Outlook 2010 now functions properly again.
So I still don't know if those instructions would have kept the activation windows from popping up because it took away the 2016 installation. I will reinstall it when I get the chance this weekend to see what happens from there. Thanks for posting the link; it provided some information about repairing these things that came in handy. Gerry

I must be missing something... If you are running the Trial of Office 2016 why would you not expect the activation dialog?

Jay, I've activated each Office 2016 app multiple times, but the activation wizard still comes up each time I open one. They all worked just fine so I guess I'm activated, but the activation wizard is on an open-ended loop.

Since you are running a trial version would you not have to actually buy the thing and enter the product code to actually succeed with the activation?
Again I may be missing something...

Jay: Office 2016 is a pre-release "beta" version. -steve
