Hello:
Trying to do something I've never done before. My friends had us to their 50 th wedding aniversery ! I recorded a video movie of their daughters song she composed for them.
Now I tried to attach the movie in Outlook at my ISP says it is "too" big.
179,000 kb's. Their limit is 20,000 kb's. How do I compress it to send?

I don't have the answer just more questions, what did you use to record the video, wondering if there wasn't something in whatever program you used to enable you to compress it.

Don't send the file. Upload it to SkyDrive or similar cloud storage site and share it with them by sending a link. They can download it if they wish. You will never be able to reduce that file size enough for email. And, if anyone sent me an attachment larger than a megabyte or two, I'd have to kill them. -steve

If you have Windows Live you already have Sky Drive. You can just upload it and give a link. If you happen to already have it you might as well use it.

That works, too. SkyDrive is free. http://skydrive.live.com If you have a LiveID already, such as a Hotmail account, you have a free account pending. It really is very easy to share a file from SkyDrive. -steve

Thanks all!
I did implement a cloud solution using Dropbox.
It was slow up loading movies made in Quicktime on my iPhone from my pc to the site (cloud).
BUT since they have an effective compression program is is 10 time fast to download to another computer than it was to upload them. At least the task is done.
I like it because I now know how to share a document for teams to work on share via www not email attachments.
