I can't tell much from their website, other than it builds a profile of the hardware and software on your system. From a hardware standpoint, does it offer much more than Microsoft's 'msinfo' utility? Does it give you the operating temps of your hardware components like Speccy and CPUID do?

Just curious as to whether anyone uses it and likes it. Thanks.........

BB you cannot associate Belarc with hardware monitors such as Speccy and CPUID as it is not a monitor. It is strictly a profiler such as is msinfo.

Now Belarc did have one strong point in being able to run benchmark tests on your security but that will not work in Windows versions past Windows 7.

Is it worth installing? If you want a complete profile of your system it isn't exactly bad but it isn't going to really do much for you. Then again the install folder is only 6.25 MB so there isn't any real storage impact and you seem to like to know the details about your system.

Go ahead and install to take a peek but only from
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
It WILL give you a very detailed profile of your system but is not of much use (to me) beyond warning that some apps may need updating. I just installed to see what was current with it but will remove as soon as I post this. It just doesn't really do anything for me in Windows 10.

Thanks, Jay. Now I understand the difference between a profiler and a monitor.

Yea, I like to know details about my system, so I may install it just to play around with. When I do a download and install, I am very careful about the website I use. I always try and use the vendor's site and stay away from sites like CNET, FileHippo, tucows, etc.

I got the Belarc Advisor installed. Wow, that's a lot of information. It will take me a week just to read it all, and at least another year to understand most of it.

BTW, I just reinstalled Speccy64 on my computer, so fingers crossed that it will behave this time. I still like that monitor program.
