I'm not claiming the freeware version of Revo Uninstaller is better than all the rest but I have used it in the past and only stopped when I moved from Windows 7 32bit to Windows 7 64bit, at that time Windows 7 64bit wasn't supported so this is just a heads-up that the freeware version of Revo Uninstaller was updated last month to support 32bit & 64bit versions of Windows XP/7/8/8.1/10/Server.

If memory serves me right there were a couple of other users here on CH who also had to drop the free version when they upgraded to the 64bit version of Windows 7 (or later) so hopefully this info might be useful :)

Version: 2.0.0

Revo Uninstaller Free is fully compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Windows Server

Just downloaded it Doddie and Windows Defender popped up with a warning I'd downloaded dangerous stuff. This was on my Windows 10 Asus Notebook.

Just installed on Win 10 64 bit without any notifications from Defender. Thanks Dddie! :)

Joan, I would consider your alert from Defender to be a false positive. I don't know why you got the alert when neither Chas nor myself did but an AV alert as a false positive is not uncommon for this kind of software as it does make changes to your system... Uninstalling something is a change to your system. If you want the thing, and Defender won't allow the install, I'd just create an exception within Defender to allow the installer.

I had another look at the alert, I'd put it in quarantine, and apparently it was to do with adobe flash player. I'll go ahead and install Revo and leave adobe in quarantine for now.

Fyi, I installed Revo on Win 7 64bit with no issues.

@JoanA, Defender flagging Flash Player as Dangerous is a bit extreme imo... are you absolutely sure you've not got something else going on with your system you don't know about?

Hi Doddie been busy today and not had much time on the computer especially as I was suddenly getting the Anniversary Edition of 10 last night and this morning so when I've had the chance today I've been fixing what got broke.
Not sure if there's anything else yet. :-)
