I allowed the HP Update alert on the latest software install.

The HP MFC works fine, as it usually does.
Today, for the first time since reinstalling Solution Center, the address book didn't open in Fax mode.
Coincidence or not, yesterday I installed one update.
Can I roll back the update or uninstall it? It is CIOUMUpdate_3545_000_009.hpu.exe.

If this was important enough to be on a desktop alert, why isn't it on the HP download page?
The only information that turned up is that it was released in 2011. That is hardly news.

I should uninstall the handy little HP Updater, since I don't need it.

Thank you.

System Restore would undo the HP update. Alternatively, uninstall the Solution Center once again, reinstall it and either remove the HP Updater software or configure it to show updates and not install. I believe you can hide an update just as you can in Windows Update.

Totally agree with Steve. This is one of those cases of not fixing what isn't broken. HP decided to fix what was not broken and now it is. Don't take this post wrong, Nancy, you did absolutely nothing wrong. :)

I am happy not to be "yelled at" this morning!
SysRestore will work just fine. Yes, Steve, you are right - you can hide updates. But even better is that it is a standalone program and I can uninstall it completely without having to reinstall SC.
Thank you for solving both problems.
