Anyone here good with phpbb. Have a real problem and need help to figure out how to fix it. Lost about 2 years worth of posts. About 4,000. If my provider cannot restore the database then I need help to put version 3.0.11 up on the server. I cant seem to find our old helper. It is a shame to lose all the hard work that went into the board.

Yikes, Daniel! That's awful! Jay's your man. You may want to send him a P.M. on this.

Sent him an email but havent heard from him. Also waiting to hear from the host. Php people said they should be able to restore the database. After that the site needs an update from 3.0.10 to 3.0.11.
Nice to see you Patty. Got a new kitty. Her name is Lexy and she is pure white. Cute little thing. This morning she was in the kitchen window having a growl fest with a raccoon. That was funny.
Cheers Daniel

Sorry PB, I don't recall getting any email. I just looked and there seems to be a backup of the data base from yesterday the 24th.

That backup was after the 4,000 posts went missing. They flew away around 4:00 pm.
Have sent you a couple emails lately. Maybe there is an issue with my email too. Big thing right now is to get those posts back.
Will let you know after my host talks to me.
Thanks Jay.

I only see the one backup so unless you have one locally on your system or the host has one you are probably out of luck. OK, I just looked... Even if the host and you do not have a backup it is not totally gone. I do have a backup but it is old, September, 7th, 2012.

Thanks Jay. Hang on to that because the site is showing 2011. Just spoke with the hosting. Will wait to hear from them then let you know. I must say this issue sure has had an effect on me. I am completely dragged out. Didnt sleep all night trying to figure this out.
Thanks Jay.

The host just called. They cant do anything. All they have left is back about 14 months ago. So can you use the backup you have and also mount 3.0.11 up on the server. There is also an auto update thing. Would like to get the sit back up as quick as possible. I have the files for 3.0.11. I could upload them but it might be faster and easier if you do it. PM me if you need the login info.

Here you go Patty. Taken this morning. Funny thing. Her eyes are yellow but one is darker than the other.

Quote: is she by any chance deaf they say it can happen with white cats I dont know if it is deaf or selective hearing. The other night I did dig a lot of stuff out of her ears. A Q-tip and baby oil. Ever since she seems to be more receptive to being rubbed on the ears. To me, the q-tip and oil did good. If you have a pet with ear mites. Baby oil.

Perhaps it's dogs not cats that have the problem if they're white, I know I've heard something about hearing or seeing problems with white animals.

I believe it is when they are albino. A white cat with pink eyes would be albino

I knew a chemical engineer (might be the wrong term) years ago that was albino. He had extreme issues with bright light and his eyes.

Good news. Went to Cancer Center tuesday. Sarcoma is in remission. Markers are still in the blood but idle. The only issue now is the serious scaring on the left lung where the lower lobe was removed. BIG sigh of relief.

Geesh, thank you Patty for the kind words. I am red in the face now. But it is nice to hear things like that in tough times. Here is my latest build project. Not the nicest looking but is OK. Very hard to do small parts when shaking. Also the site is back up and running well. Seems the server realizes they goofed up bad.
