Patty, anyone in your gang good with a photo program. The picture here is me Christmas 1967. If you look under the tree you can see a model of an airplane. A member from my model site found another kit the same as the one in the picture and gifted it to me. Would be nice to get a picture of my face now, 46 years later and edit it into the old picture. I have no idea how to do it.

Cheers
Daniel

Location: The state of confusion; I just use Wyoming for mail.
I can do a bit with photo software but that is a bit beyond me. I don't know how to do the 'masking' needed to isolate what you want and get rid of the rest of the new pic.

It isn't so much masking. You need a program with a smart selection tool that will find edges to an object as you draw or click around its borders. Once you've selected the object (the old face) you have to copy it and paste it onto the old photo. It's sizing and coloration that may take work. I use Corel Paint Shop Pro, and also Microsoft's Digital Photo Suite, or Photo Gallery to do most of what I need. Takes practice and forethought. Never deal with original photos - always do copies. ;) You may need to paste the copied "head" onto a blank canvas and work with size and coloring there. Then copy and paste it onto the old photo when you feel it matches well.
