Everytime I call on Foxit to open a PDF I'm presented with a dialog box about "script." I must answer yes or no before I can use the PDF..doesn't matter what I answer. What's that about? Can I stop it from popping up?

I would uninstall it, reboot and then install a fresh download with all other software, including security, turned off. See how that goes.

I know this is an old topic but just thought something worth a mention:
Firefox and Chrome's built-in PDF readers will open any PDF file on the Internet. If either browser is installed, it can also be used as the default PDF reader for PDF files stored on the computer. Just set PDFs to 'Open with > Firefox' or 'Open with > Chrome'. From then on, a PDF double-clicked on opens the selected browser and the PDF is shown. There is perhaps no need to have any other PDF reader installed.
