Ah, yes, Godmode, a neat feature. A couple of things. EVERYTHING in Godmode can be found elsewhere IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO LOOK. The neat thing about Godmode is that it brings them all together. Godmode is really nothing more that an extremely powerful SEARCH for your Windows stuff. Also, you have the option of creating a Folder on your desktop to access it or simply run a command in Run. The Run command will give you everything just like creating a new folder does. I do not know what the Windows10 string is but for those of you still using Windows 7, just copy/paste
CODING REMOVED, unable to post
into the Run command
and look, Chas pointed out, all of the options gather into one spot.
I assume there is a Run command for Windows10 also unless you do not mind having another icon on your desktop, I try to keep my desktop clean, mostly failing.

I was not aware of this. Looks like a pretty nice tool.
Acadia, did you try to just enter the run code or did you enclose it in a code box? You would probably have to enclose such a thing.

As a note this need not reside on your desktop. You can create and rename the folder anywhere that you want. I did it in my Windows folder.
After the creation of God Mode you can then 'Send to' the desktop to create a shortcut. This shortcut can be pinned to the Start Menu. If you right click the Start Menu entry you can then pin to the Task Bar. Now just delete the Desk Top icon.
As has probably become obvious I want a totally empty desktop except for my animated wallpapers. The above worked fine for me as to achieving this.

Tried that too, if I did it correctly, still did not work. It really does not matter, if people want it bad enough they can just go here: http://www.askvg.com/truth-behind-hidde ... windows-7/and toward the bottom of the article is the code Acadia

I have done this twice over the years. Personally, I don't find it too helpful - likely because the list is so long. I prefer a link to "All Control Panel items."
However, in the next release of Windows 10, just around the corner, I understand that more Control Panel functions are moving to the new Settings. Not sure how I feel about that, and it is possible that GodMode (if it still works) would be very helpful indeed. (Like if you can't find stuff in settings!)

Yeah, when I played with GodMode a few years back it was a bit overwhelming, there was so much there. But a true geeks dream come true. Acadia

In the show Person of Interest, GodMode allowed Root to speak (literally) directly to The Machine (an AI). She was The Machine's analog interface. I know this is not relevant here but almost. It would be cool to speak to your computer like they do in Star Trek.
