I did uncheck when creating media, I didn't want the possibility of any settings on the PC I was creating the media on to be transferred over to the setup routine.

Well, I just updated my new Win 10 computer to the Anniversary update with no issues. I had downloaded this update last week, but I delayed the actual restart until this morning. :happy65:

However, I never got the screen that gave me the option of express or custom settings. This update just kept things the way I had them set up.....settings, apps, desktop, etc.

So I guess the screen I showed above where I had the option of express or custom settings must have come from my original upgrade to Win 10 from Win 7. Like chasbox reported, on the Anniversary update I never saw this option.

Anyway, I am pleased with the update, and I see that 'Settings' is more robust than before (something Patty said should happen). :nana1:

Double check after you do the update, system restore may have been turned off (mine was).

My System Restore never turned off.
When I did my brother's laptop ( used customize option ) unchecked all the send info to MS boxes.
SR was turned off

:rofl2: I could explain but I'll let Patty answer for herself. Plus it allows me to let you suffer in anticipation.

Sorry, Bb. I'm waiting for the Windows 10 Anniversary Upgrade to present itself via Windows Update - rather than going to download it now.

I'm still waiting for it here as well, for my 3 Windows 10 machines, not checked what updates came in yesterday yet.

So has it happened yet? As you predicted, Patty, I think you will find Settings to be even more robust following the Anniversary update.

And what about you, Joan? Anything yet over there across the pond?

My desktop has not yet been offered the Anniversary update, while my Surface Pro 4 was offered it on day 1.

Are you running Home or Professional, Steve? I'm Professional, and it always takes longer. I went ahead and downloaded it rather than waiting.

Still waiting here, I'm not rushing though as I've heard there have been a few problems so hoping they've been ironed out by the time I get them. Oh and I'm using Home edition.

I'm running Home on the desktop. Professional on the Surface Pro 4 which received the upgrade on day 1. I'm in no hurry for the desktop, so it will be interesting to see when it is finally offered.

I got on day one or two but not through Updates for two systems. LOL! Call me old fashioned but I used the media creation tool to make a DVD install disk. One system was already Windows 10 Pro and the other was Windows 7 Ultimate.
