Some of this looks pretty nice! The probable realease of the fall upgrade seems to be October.

Since I'm into media I especially like the potential of "Windows Story Remix".

The company also showed off a new Universal Windows app, Windows Story Remix, designed to blend photos and videos into stories with a soundtrack, theme, and cinematic transitions.

Another interesting feature is called "Timeline"

Timeline - This feature is an extension of Task View. Microsoft touts it as a way to scroll through a time-based representation of what you've been doing and "hop back into files, apps, and sites as if you never left."

There are several other expected new features but I'm not going to waste your time by listing all... read the article.

I'll have to go and look at that when I've got 5 minutes to spare thanks Jay, mind you I've not got the last upgrade yet but I've not been pushing it just waiting till updates decide the pc is ready for it. ;-)

Hi Joan, if you decide to not wait for the 'Creator's Build' check out the following link.

Thanks for the link Jay, I expect my desktop will probably get the upgrade before this laptop as it's newer with more space, although they both have the same RAM 8GB but of course the hardware the OS runs on is newer. ;-)

Well, tonight is the night that I get the upgrade....I hope it goes well. Since I have slow internet, I'm going to let Microsoft do the download and installation while I sleep. Then I can later walk through what ever setup is involved.

Here is an article that IMHO does a good job explaining what's new in this update:

Thanks for the link BB. :)

After the upgrade is complete you will get a screen of telemetry choices. If you have set previous telemety on a per app basis you can set all to off as I did. By 'on a per app basis' I refer to such as location. For instance I have 'location globally set to off but on for weather and maps. I selected off on the upgrade screen and my weather and maps still work fine.
