My daughter is giving her 11-year-old son her older Toshiba Windows 10 laptop. I will be preparing the laptop for him. Two questions:

1. How do I remove her (administrator) name and picture and substitute his on the screen that comes up first after a boot? I have him entered as a "standard" account owner on the computer, but I can't find how to show his name and picture after a boot up.

2. What's the quickest/easiest way to delete all her personal data, most of which is in the Documents folder? I don't want to delete that folder, just all that's in it.

For number 1: https://www.top-password.com/blog/make- ... in-screen/
Note that the last logged in user displays by default when the login screen appears. You will only see the other users if you follow the steps above.
For number 2: https://www.onmsft.com/news/delete-user-accounts
Note that this removes the user and you must be logged in with an administrator account. You can then recreate that same user account for your daughter as an admin.

Thank you very much, Steve. It always amazes me how you come up with these fantastic links that help solve problems. You must have an excellent way of keeping them organized so you can find them when you need them.

Problems solved!
