I have Samsung xe303c12 chromebook which runs Chrome OS. My question is can I install Windows 7 or 8 to it ?
CPU: Samsung Exynos 5 Dual
CPU Clock speed (Max.): 1.7 GHz
CPU Cache: 1MB
System memory: 2GB
Memory type: DDR3L

If the answer is yes, could you explain how in simple steps and how to get device drivers for the laptop.

Thanks.

I can't say for sure but have doubts...

My real concern would be if you can get Windows drivers for the system's hardware. Also I can't say that I have any knowledge with a Samsung Exynos 5 Dual processor. I have no idea as to if it uses an Intel architecture. If not it would be a definite no.

Someone else may have a more definite answer but the first thing I'd do would be to look for drivers. Honestly I doubt that you will find them.

Actually I just did a search and came up with the following drivers. I cannot state the validity of any of this. You might try checking with Samsung support.

I found nothing on the Samsung site in reference to Windows drivers or any other drivers.

At this point the best advice that I feel I can give is to leave it as it is.

Is there a way to find out if the laptop uses an Intel architecture?

You would have to research the Samsung Exynos 5 Dual processor.

Why do you want to change? I'm sure that you would have researched the system. If it was OK when bought why isn't it now? Are you having specific issues?

Also I still have serious doubts about device drivers.

I think it uses ARM architecture. This reason why I want to change to Windows because most applications that works on Windows won't work in Chromebook. This is little inconvenient .

If you are correct that it uses ARM there is no way that you can switch to Windows. You may be able to find alternative software such as Open Office or, Libre (I think) now as a replacement for Office.
