Hi. I was using Real player until they developed problems in their control center. I had hooked up with them via remote assistance to find the problem, but it is not in my PC (Win 7 home premium 32bit). Now even though I can use the free version to play back .ra .rm clips, every time I try to open any file, windows defender asks me if it is OK. It didn't do this before they hooked up remote assistance and made some changesl. Now, they don't know what they did and Ican't find it either. None of my other applications do this. Wonder what they toggled to cause this? Dave E

Any file or any file that needs RealPlayer? Windows Defender asks you? What is the exact message it presents? -steve

Steve, I may be wrong but I have a hunch this is User Account Control (UAC), not Defender. The UAC level may have been increased.

Reasonable hunch as I don't know that I've ever seen Defender prompt like that. -steve

Thanks, Patty. Taken a week ago today when my wife and I spent the afternoon at The Cloisters, which is an annex for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. They have some amazing works exhibited, mostly from the 12th through 16th centuries. The building has a number of courtyard gardens. Many of the architectural elements, including the columns like the one behind me, are actual antiquities from the same period. We had a great time! -steve

Not sure if I ever saw the Cloisters, but I've definitely visited the museum - when I was too young to appreciate it.
