That was fascinating Acadia, I didn't go right to the end, don't have enough time just at the moment, but I'll go back and finish looking at those great facts thanks for the link. :-)

Looks like we should all become football coaches.

Cool. I came for assistance and will leave with a new bookmark. It's kind of sad that the most valued public employees are sports coaches. But all in all, entertainment seems to be the most desired commodity in the U.S.

Says a bunch about our future, don't it.

My only question is what does it have to do with dogs

Good question, Pete. The blog stated that "The underlying theme of Learning from Dogs is about truth, integrity, honesty and trust in every way. We use the life of dogs as a metaphor."

So this blog about maps is obviously still trying to sell the author's book on dogs.

Sorta reminds me of the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, which was more about values than motorcycles. :cboy1:

I don't believe this, I posted this in Ten Forward for pure fun and education. It has nothing to do with dogs, and the above mentioned book was PURE PHILOSOPHY. I majored in Philosophy in college, and that book was required reading. It was pure philosophy and the author was only using motorcycles to tell a story. I challenge anyone to read that book and tell me otherwise, trust me, you will not get past the first couple chapters; I had no choice.

Well, I'm not going to argue with you. As a physics major, I learned not to argue with philosophers, lol. But the book cover I remember said it was a book about values (see photo below). I read the book twice and, like you, had trouble understanding most of it. I read someplace where Pirsig had an IQ of 170.
