Yesterday I decided to clean up my laptop which can't upgrade to newer operating system like Windows 7 or 8 because of older laptop. So I format the hard drive and put a clean install of Windows XP Pro. To my surprise that I can't even run Windows Update and have tried several things as suggested on the internet like Microsoft Mr. Fix-it or other ways to fix Windows Update. Still can't run Windows Update and not sure why? Yes my laptop have Windows XP Pro with SP3 but not all the updates also so far with Net Framework 2.0. Any idea how to get Windows Update running again?

Your help would be appreciated

Thank you,

John

Smile,

OK. I missed the part about the clean install. Not sure how you decided it was a Windows installer issue, but I can kinda see
why that would fix Windows update.
